“Initially, in a scene to make a virtual photo shoot, Benny Lim challenged me to make a video shoot using a Samsung smartphone. Just starting I do not know what to say in the video. Finally Benny told me I made a shortlist, so it's not just about me, but also interesting things for me, “he told the Gadgetren team during the Workshop Question and Answer session (05/20/2020).
In the making of this short film, Dian also many mengulik and take advantage of existing features on smartphones and observe inanimate objects inside the house and living things outside the home. He also took advantage of home decorations such as flower vases, jars displayed, to wasps that were alighted on the flowers in his yard.
He also did not deny when shooting at home got its own challenges compared to doing it outside the home. “Suddenly again shooting a child through, so all must understand the situation at home,” he said.
So that there was nothing to disturb, Dian made time for her shooting time after dawn and when her children got up then rested and resumed at 16.00 in the afternoon until breaking the fast.
According to him, filming after dawn for preparation and taking pictures at 7:00 to 10:00 when the sun is still good because entering the house can provide an interesting cinema effect.
Not to forget on this occasion, Dian also gave tips for creating content from home. You must be sensitive and aware of the little details that you have yourself and turn them into beauty and appreciate what they have. According to him, the more personal the content, the stronger the character will be.
“If we want to make good content that is already common, but interestingly there are also fragile ones, like now everyone is still fragile and uncertain in this situation. So don't plek other people's ways, we use our own methods. “No one can copy your personality,” he explained.
